Tournament Recap

Sergio F Strikes Gold at Nip n Tuck as Yohan Crashes the ToC Top Three!

With the Tournament of Champions approaching and the venue playoff races growing tighter by the week, Thursday night at Nip n Tuck delivered exactly the kind of shakeup that makes November poker so exciting. Thirty-nine players entered the Main Event, Tournament Director Wes Petteway kept the action moving, and by the end of the night, a new champion had emerged. But the biggest story wasn't limited to the winner's circle. Nip n Tuck's top-three standings changed, the playoff bubble got even more competitive, and several players made important moves toward December's postseason. Sergio F Breaks Through for the Victory! Congratulations to Sergio F , who captured Thursday's Main Event championship and collected 54 points ! It was Sergio's first Main Event victory of the Fall 2026 season and the biggest result of an increasingly promising campaign. Just one week earlier, Sergio finished 15th at Nip n Tuck, collecting 20 points. This Thursday, Sergio returned and went all the way. The victory lifted Sergio to 155 Nip n Tuck points and seventh place in the venue standings , putting a solid playoff position behind that first championship. And although one victory alone doesn't satisfy the two-win minimum for the Tournament of Champions' wins-based qualification route, Sergio now has the first victory needed to pursue it. With several weeks of regular-season poker remaining, another big night could make things very interesting. Les The Jeweler and C4 Complete the Podium Finishing second was Les The Jeweler , who earned 48 points and recorded a second top-three finish of the Fall season. Les previously finished third at Nip n Tuck on October 15. Thursday's runner-up performance builds on that success and strengthens a postseason position, moving Les to 19th in the venue standings. Third place belonged to C4 , who collected 42 points . C4's season has included some impressive highs, including a runner-up finish at Nip n Tuck on October 1. Thursday's podium brings C4 to 106 venue points and 25th place, currently inside the top-30 playoff field. Congratulations to all three podium finishers! A Final Table Full of Postseason Implications The rest of Thursday's final table featured several players whose performances could prove significant as the regular season winds down. Wink10 finished fourth for 36 points , recording a first final-table appearance of the Fall season. It was an important breakthrough, although Wink10 remains just outside the current playoff field in 33rd place. ECC took fifth for 35 points , following up a strong October 22 final-table appearance with another valuable finish. Those points provide welcome breathing room in the fight for playoff eligibility. Sixth place went to B Mac , who made quite an impression in a first recorded Fall season appearance, earning 34 points . Seventh-place finisher Yohan added 33 points , while I Karla finished eighth for 32 points . Rounding out the final table was Papi The Magicman , who collected 31 points and continued building a strong venue campaign. For several of these players, Thursday's finish was much more than a good night of poker. It was another step toward qualifying for the postseason. The ToC Race: Yohan Breaks Into the Top Three! This is where Thursday's results become especially interesting. The top three players in each venue's final regular-season standings earn direct Tournament of Champions qualification positions, subject to the league's duplicate-qualification rules. Entering Thursday, the race for Nip n Tuck's third position was already extremely close. Now there's a new name inside that line. Only five points now separate Yohan and No Lie. Misdeal, who entered Thursday holding third, finished 21st and added 18 points. That result leaves Misdeal fifth in the Nip n Tuck race, still within striking distance. And with only six points separating Fred and Yohan, even second place is far from settled. No direct seat has been secured yet. The remaining tournaments can still change the standings, and other qualifying routes may affect the eventual seat assignments. For now, Yohan has taken an important step forward, and the chase behind the leaders is getting tighter. The Venue Playoff Bubble: Every Point Counts The top three aren't the only players with something at stake. The top 30 finishers in Nip n Tuck's venue standings qualify to compete in the venue playoff , where three additional Tournament of Champions seats are available to eligible players who have not already qualified. That makes the 30th-place cutoff one of the most important numbers on the leaderboard. Thursday produced several noteworthy developments. C4's third-place finish strengthened a position inside the playoff field, moving to 25th. Les The Jeweler's runner-up finish moved Les to 19th, while Sergio's championship established a much stronger position in seventh. ECC's fifth-place performance provided another major boost to playoff security. But the battle around the cutoff remains unsettled. Deku collected 20 points with a 19th-place finish, raising the venue total to 90 points . Yet Deku currently sits 31st, immediately outside the qualifying field. Wink10's fourth-place finish was another major step forward, but the current position is still 33rd. Meanwhile, Black Widow remains inside the field in 29th place despite a 31st-place Main Event finish. The message is clear: a strong finish can bring a player into contention, but nobody near the cutoff can afford to assume a playoff invitation is guaranteed. For players outside the top three, qualifying for the venue playoff may represent their best opportunity to reach the December 6 Tournament of Champions. And those playoff seats are still very much up for grabs. Second Chance: Tactical Pen Takes the Title! The Main Event might have produced the night's biggest standings shakeup, but the action didn't stop there. Thursday's Second Chance tournament produced another champion, as Tactical Pen captured first place and 10 Second Chance points ! What makes that result especially memorable is that Tactical Pen was also making a first recorded Fall season appearance. After finishing 27th in the Main Event for 12 points, Tactical Pen returned for Second Chance and finished the evening with a victory. That's a pretty good introduction to DTTF poker! Vin The Realtor finished second, earning six points . Vin had also finished second in the October 22 Second Chance event, adding another strong result in the separate competition. Black Widow completed the Second Chance podium in third, earning three points . That result followed Black Widow's Second Chance victory the previous Thursday, giving another reason to keep an eye on the developing standings. Congratulations to Tactical Pen, Vin The Realtor and Black Widow! As always, Second Chance has its own standings and provides another opportunity for players to enjoy competitive poker after their Main Event ends. Its points do not count toward Main Event standings or automatically award Tournament of Champions seats. Welcome to Our New Players! One of the best things about Down to the Felt is seeing new faces join the tables. Thursday brought several first recorded appearances of the Fall 2026 season. A warm DTTF welcome to: B Mac , who made an impressive debut with sixth place and 34 Main Event points. Tactical Pen , whose first night included a Second Chance championship. D.R.O. , who finished 25th and collected 14 points. RJDubs , who finished 28th and earned 11 points. Bachtalk , who finished 32nd and earned seven points. With the December 6 Tournament of Champions approaching, every remaining tournament is another opportunity to change a player's postseason outlook. Ted DiBiase continues to lead Nip n Tuck, Fred M holds second, and Yohan has moved into third. But No Lie and Misdeal remain close enough to make the final weeks extremely interesting. Meanwhile, the top-30 playoff cutoff continues to shift, and several players are still fighting for the opportunity to compete for additional ToC seats. The venue playoffs take place during the week immediately preceding the Tournament of Champions. There's still time to make a move, but the opportunities are getting fewer. Join us next Thursday at Nip n Tuck! Cards are in the air at 8:00 PM , with the early-arrival bonus available to players checked in by 7:30 PM . See you at the felt!
